About the author

Journeys become stories.

Born in Eckernförde, northern Germany, in 1956, Gabriele Jensen studied mathematics, geography and textile education before teaching in Schleswig-Holstein for more than 40 years. She was recognised as Germany’s best teacher and won numerous climate awards together with her students.

After retiring, she began travelling extensively with her husband. Their many cruises supplied the places, encounters and observations that would later shape her books.

Her stories combine authentic travel impressions with suspenseful mysteries, inviting readers to see familiar destinations from a new perspective.
